Thriller research

The first trailer I watched was the Bourne identity, this is an action/ thriller film, in the screen shot a man ropes in through a window holding a gun, and he smashes the glass on his way in. This trailer fits the thriller genre as it had fight scenes and guns/weapons, guns fit the thriller genre conventions as in most films they have action which is caused by the guns. The main storyline of the film is that a man wakes up and he has amnesia, he then has to try to find out what has happened to him, all the time he is being chased by assassins.
The second trailer I watched was Shutter Island this is a mystery/thriller, in the screen shot there is a long, dark, hallway which is common of the thriller genre as it shows mystery and builds suspense as you don’t know what is down the hall. In the film U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels is searching for a murderess who has escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane. This film contains lots of cuts in the editing which is common of the thriller genre.
The third film I watched was no country for old men, which is a crime/drama/thriller, in the screenshot there is a man with an explosion behind him, this is common of convention of the thriller genre, as it shows action and adds excitement to the film.  In the film a hunter stumbles upon a drug deal gone wrong and more than two million dollars in cash near the Rio Grande.
